Booking Terms & Conditions
(and Website Terms of Use) · Last Updated: August 16, 2026
Please read these Booking Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the website operated by TTS Adventures Ltd ("we," "us," or "our") or booking any trip or event with us.
By booking a trip, paying a deposit, creating an account, or using our website, you enter into a legally binding contract with TTS Adventures Ltd and agree to be bound by these Terms. Section 3 of this document forms your legal Travel Contract. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our website or proceed with a booking.
1. Acceptance of Terms & The Contract
1.1 Binding Contract: By accessing our website or placing a booking/deposit for a trip, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1.2 Applicability: These Terms apply to all website visitors, registered users, community members, and trip participants.
1.3 Capacity: By making a booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into a contract.
2. Use of the Website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, spam, or promotional material.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, user accounts, or related IT systems.
- Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone else's use or enjoyment of the website.
- Upload or transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
3. Booking Terms and Conditions (Your Travel Contract)
When you book a trip through our site or sales channels, you agree to the following booking terms and conditions. These terms are compliant with the UK Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.
3.1 Customer Cancellation Policy (If You Cancel)
You have the right to cancel your booking at any time by sending a clear written notification to support@thetravelsquad.com. Because we incur substantial non-refundable costs with accommodation, activity, and transport providers upon receiving your booking, cancellation fees apply based on when we receive your written cancellation:
| Days Prior to Scheduled Departure | Cancellation Fee Retained by TTS |
|---|---|
| 91 days or more | Registration deposit is retained as the cancellation fee |
| 90 to 61 days | 60% of total trip price is retained |
| 60 days or less | 100% of total trip price is retained |
Note: Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances where you choose to cancel.
3.2 Our Right to Cancel (Organiser Cancellations & Minimum Numbers)
Our group trips require a minimum number of participants to operate. We reserve the right to cancel a trip if this minimum number is not met.
- Notice Period: If we must cancel due to low sales, we will notify you no later than 20 days prior to departure for trips lasting more than 6 days (or in accordance with the timeframes specified in the UK Package Travel Regulations).
- Refund: In the event of a minimum-number cancellation, you will receive a 100% full refund of all monies paid directly to TTS Adventures Ltd for the package.
- Limitation: We are not liable to pay you any additional compensation beyond the full refund of your payments to us.
3.3 Cancellation Due to Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances (Force Majeure)
We reserve the right to cancel your trip before departure in the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the destination or its immediate vicinity which significantly affect the performance of the package or the carriage of passengers (including, but not limited to, natural disasters, volcanic eruptions, acts of terrorism, outbreak of war, civil unrest, or severe public health emergencies).
If we must cancel your booking under these circumstances, you will receive a full refund of all payments made directly to TTS Adventures Ltd for the package. However, TTS Adventures Ltd will not be liable to pay you any additional compensation, nor will we be responsible for any independent travel arrangements or consequential losses.
3.4 Weather, Snow & Surf Conditions
TTS Adventures Ltd cannot guarantee specific weather, snow, or surf conditions. These are outside our control. Less than ideal conditions, poor weather, or reduced snow or surf do not in themselves constitute grounds for a refund, cancellation, or price reduction, provided the trip runs as described. Where conditions prevent a specific activity from going ahead, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative.
3.5 Independently Booked Flights and Consequential Losses
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing on the specific trip booking page, our trips are sold on a "land-only" basis and do not include international flights or travel to the destination. Any flights, trains, or independent travel arrangements you make are entirely at your own risk and constitute a separate contract between you and your chosen transport provider.
TTS Adventures Ltd is not responsible for, and will not refund or compensate you for, any incidental expenses or consequential losses you incur as a result of a cancelled TTS booking, date change, or trip cancellation. This strict exclusion of liability includes, but is not limited to:
- Non-refundable independent airline, train, or bus tickets.
- Visa fees, passport costs, or medical vaccinations.
- Independent hotel bookings or personal travel insurance premiums.
3.6 Customer Inability to Travel & External Transport Failures
Because our packages do not include international flights or travel to the destination, it is your sole responsibility to arrive at the designated meeting point of the trip on time.
If you are unable to travel, arrive late, or miss the trip entirely due to independent flight cancellations, flight delays, airspace closures, airline insolvency, border control issues, personal illness, or personal emergencies:
- TTS Adventures Ltd is not liable to provide a refund, partial refund, date transfer, or financial compensation.
- Standard cancellation fees (Section 3.1) will apply.
- Upon written request, we will provide you with an official Cancellation Invoice detailing the non-refundable retention of funds so that you can claim these lost costs back through your mandatory personal travel insurance policy.
3.7 Mandatory Travel Insurance Requirement
Adequate and valid comprehensive travel insurance is a mandatory requirement for all customers booking a trip with TTS Adventures Ltd.
- Coverage Requirements: Your policy must, at a minimum, cover personal accidents, emergency medical expenses, emergency repatriation, and personal liability. We also strongly mandate that your policy covers trip cancellation, curtailment, missed departures, and travel disruption (including independent flight cancellations).
- Timing: You must purchase your travel insurance immediately upon booking your trip.
- Assumption of Risk: If you travel without adequate insurance cover, or fail to purchase it upon booking, you do so entirely at your own financial risk. TTS Adventures Ltd will not issue refunds out of pocket for costs, flight cancellations, or personal emergencies that you failed to properly insure against.
3.8 Changing or Transferring Your Booking
In accordance with the UK Package Travel Regulations, you may transfer your booking to another person provided that:
- You give us written notice at least 7 days before departure via support@thetravelsquad.com.
- The replacement person meets all trip requirements and agrees to these Terms.
- You pay an administration fee to cover processing costs, plus any non-refundable name-change fees charged by our accommodation, ground transport, or activity suppliers.
- Both you and the replacement traveler remain jointly liable for paying any outstanding balances.
3.9 Payments, Late Bookings & Instalment Plans
- Final Payment Deadline: Full payment for your trip balance is due 60 days prior to departure. If you book a trip less than 60 days before departure, 100% of the trip total is due immediately.
- Instalment Plans: If you pay via an instalment plan, an Instalment Administration Fee may be applied to your total balance to cover administrative management over time.
- Default: Failure to pay instalments on time may result in the cancellation of your booking, subject to standard cancellation charges (Section 3.1).
4. Code of Conduct, Safety, and Group Rules
To maintain a safe and inclusive environment across all TTS trips, events, and community platforms:
- Behaviour: You agree to follow the instructions of TTS trip leaders, reps, and local guides. You must not engage in illegal activity, violence, intimidation, racial/sexual harassment, or severe antisocial behaviour.
- Termination of Participation: We reserve the right to terminate your participation on a trip immediately, without refund, if your conduct poses a threat to the safety, mental well-being, or enjoyment of yourself or others.
- Substances & Alcohol: You are responsible for your own alcohol consumption. TTS Adventures Ltd accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage resulting from voluntary intoxication or illegal substance use.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website and in our trip materials—including text, graphics, logos, images, video clips, and software—is the property of TTS Adventures Ltd or its content suppliers and is protected by UK intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
6. User-Generated Content and Media Release
- License: If you submit content to us (via social media, email, WhatsApp community groups, or direct uploads), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, and publish that content for marketing and promotional purposes.
- Trip Photography: Photos and videos may be taken by TTS team members or official photographers during trips. By attending, you consent to your image appearing in promotional materials, website media, and social channels, unless you explicitly inform us in writing prior to the trip.
7. Disclaimers
This website and our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to ensure all information is accurate, we make no warranties, express or implied, as to the absolute accuracy or completeness of website content, third-party activity listings, or uninterrupted IT services.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- TTS Adventures Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your booking, travel, or use of our website.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any proven direct claim arising out of or in connection with your trip contract shall be limited to a maximum of twice the total price paid by you for the package (in line with the Package Travel Regulations).
- Exceptions: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our direct negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under English Law.
9. Third-Party Links & External Suppliers
Our website and itineraries may feature activities provided by independent third-party operators (e.g., excursion providers, equipment hire companies). These links and services are provided for your convenience. While we vet our ground partners, independent excursions booked directly by you outside our stated package constitute separate contracts with those providers.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms, your booking contract, and any non-contractual disputes arising out of them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the website or participation in a booking after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
